The Buzz Behind the Canal Walk store
Our store in Cape Town has been undergoing major changes over the past few months and it was launched in a typical Sportscene style. We debuted a series of in-house performances by some of Cape Town’s favourite artists such as Dee Koala, Kash CPT and E-Jay CPT, all of which were broadcasted live on Sportscene Radio. Haven’t heard of Sportscene Radio? Just know that it is where the sound of the underground urban culture is at.
The new and revamped Canal Walk store now features a sneaker laundry by Walk Fresh, tattoo and piercings parlour by Black & White Tattoos, MOMO Bubble Tea from Taiwan and a wider range of sneakers & apparel brands
Walk Fresh
WALK FRESH is a boutique sneaker cleaning and shoe-care service providing the best sneaker cleaning, suede/nubuck refurbishing and maintenance, shoe shining and Repairing services for all footwear brands, makes and materials.
Black & White Tattoos
Launched in October 2012, the tattoo studio has quickly become the city’s go-to spot for local and international ink lovers. Some of their more well-known clients include Benni McCarthy, Morale, Rashid Kay, Musa Sukwene, Zoleka Mandela, Lloyd Cele, Tall A$ Mo and Nasty C.
MOMO Bubble Tea
They are the supplier of original bubble tea in South Africa. Currently one of the oldest suppliers in the country. They have been around since 2018 supplying and serving original and fresh bubble tea, their tea variations are all imported directly from Taiwan.
And as part of our vision to become a hub of quality entertainment and music content, we have created ample space for young artists to book a free recording session online and go record their music at the Sportscene Studio.
