Brian Moilwa (stage name Griffin East) is a hip hop musician from Johannesburg. He grew up in Berea with his family of 5, being from a family with a wide arts background helped him get an early insight and exposure into the industry.
He started writing songs when he was in the 8th grade but only started making records in 2016 and more than anything it felt like home and he has not looked back ever since.
His stage name was inspired by his love for dominant animals and his city. His sound is very different and current. He is widely inspired by artists like Travis Scott, Kid Cudi and Andre 3000.
His main aim is to help people with depression, the poor and to become a better person and artist in time and more than anything extend his reach. One who can touch people’s lives and reach masses not just with music but in reflecting a positive impact.
